Upgrade OpenBSD to 6.3

If you are currently using OpenBSD 6.2 or 6.3 and if you are contemplating upgrading to the most recent release: good news, it’s peanuts. Read the FAQ, backup your data and start with a few simple steps to upgrade your release by using the internet.

Check if your file matches the digest:

If the file matches the digest, it will report: (SHA256) bsd.rd: OK. Reboot your machine. When the bootloader shows up (if you use bioctl, first enter the passphrase) and enter the following command in the boot> prompt:

Choose the (U)pgrade option and follow the guidelines. When it asks where to get the sets: choose HTTP, enter the eventual proxy and choose a mirror. Press ? to see a list of mirrors.
